Apple Flour sifts into the Finalist Category in 2020 Food and Beverage Industry Awards

You may have read the Apple Flour ingredient feature in the February issue of Food & Beverage Industry News. This time, the Apple Flour is back, but this time, as a Finalist in the annual Food and Beverage Industry Awards in the Locally Sourced Category.

Each year, the premier Food & Beverage Industry Awards recognises success and innovation occurring within the food and beverage manufacturing industry across Australia. The awards provide an opportunity for companies to reflect and celebrate progressions and developments in technology and innovative food and beverage production.

This year, Sensory Mill submitted the stand-out Apple Flour from the new flour product range as a nominee in the Locally Sourced category. This award is for food or beverage products that are made from Australian grown and made ingredients that easily displays traceability. Our Apple Flour demonstrates locality it promotes the ideology of Farm-to-Plate as Sensory Mill works closely alongside Bellevue Orchard located in Victoria, and Australian Dehydrated Food to produce the flour.

As Sensory Mill values traceability and sustainability in each product, being successful in making the finalist list for the Locally Sourced Award is a great privilege with the recognition of our work promoting Australian ingredients. With 2020 nominations across all awards being up 60% than the 2019 awards, competition was tough, however, Sensory Mill met the mark.

For now, the decision on winners sits with a panel of independent judges from across Australia and New Zealand, with winners being announced in September 2020. We hope to bring you some good news in September, so please sit tight with us! In the meantime, you can purchase our Apple Flour and other flours in the Sensory Mill range in independent health stores or online by following the link here.
