We created Sensory Mill as a means to help support those pursuing a more convenient way to improve their diet. Through our plant-based meats range we believe we have done so. We aimed to provide our customers with quality products that meet their health and lifestyle requirements.
We started the range because we noticed the trend of a more sustainable plant-based diet for the younger generation of millennials and gen z. Through our new range we have addressed the world’s increased demand for substitutes for meat and protein food by offering consumers a flexible and enjoyable cooking experience.
Through the shrinking of farming ecosystems our goal is to be an ethical and sustainable food producer. We focused on providing our consumers with a revolutionary and unique range of plant-based meats that allows the consumer to still incorporate their traditional recipes into this cooking experience. Other competitors on the market have pigeon-holled themselves by only offering their plant-based meats range as a sausage or a nugget, for example, while we have left the door wide open. The culinary versatility of Sensory Mill’s range makes it stand out on the shelves. Our consumers have the freedom to make whatever they desire through our plant-based meats, and that is important to reach and connect to all consumers and their preferences.
Oh and did we mention that our range can be stored in the pantry? Rather than being stored in the fridge like other plant-based meats our range can be on the shelf for up to 24 months.
It was also important for us to understand the wants and needs of our target audience. Those that are health conscious and follow an active lifestyle we recognised their wants of a high protein plant-based meats options and one that is also cost effective. We fulfilled this through an allergen free way, so all can enjoy our range. Instead of using the typical soy- or wheat-based protein we have used pea protein. It means we can boast a 39 percent high protein content when compared to other plant-based meats. Our range is also significantly cheaper per kilo when compared to others on the market. To also compete with traditional meats we have brought the cost of alternative plant-based meats down.
